Although Dr. Rosse has been extensively involved in biomedical research in psychiatry over the years, he's also been involved in oversight of research on mindfulness..
Dr. Rosse does not think that medications alone are sufficient to ameliorate psychiatric distress and suffering and that other psychosocial interventions, such as therapy and
mindfulness, are important for recovery. His most recent book is titled" Approaching Mindfulness from the Second Door of Perception." Dr. Rosse also authored in the late 1980s the first “Laboratory Testing and Psychiatry” textbook. Dr. Rosse also believes it very important to rule out underlying medical causes/ contributors to “psychiatric
problems.
